The city of Prague is absolutely incredible and it has so much to offer us during our stay. However, the city is very crowded during the summer months and can take some time to get around. The most convenient way to get around the city is by walking. Walking is great exercise and will be utilized a lot during course of our stay.

A major difference here in Prague is the cobblestone roads and pathways. This is completely different from home, because in Ohio the roads are made up of asphalt, and the sidewalks are usually made of cement. From personal experience I like walking on cement/asphalt better because it is much easier on your feet. However, I like the experience of walking on cobblestone’s in the city streets because it is such a unique experience. I have never experienced shops and food stands that are so easily accessible on the streets of a city like this before. The cobblestone’s are of a reddish color and match the colorful buildings in the city of Prague, which adds to the overall experience nicely.

Without getting to fully experience the center of Prague quite yet, it looks easily accessible by walking. Walking can be done on the sidewalks without a problem, and as soon as you step into the white on the road ways the cars must stop and wait. This allows pedestrians to cross the roads safely without any problems. As previously stated, I like to walk around whenever I have the chance to do so. One thing I have learned thus far is that comfortable shoes are a must in Prague. Walking on cobblestones may look nice, but without comfortable shoes they can be hard on your feet. Looking forward to the next days which will be filled with walking around and sightseeing!
