After officially arriving in Prague on Sunday afternoon, the sightseeing has not stopped since we have stepped off the plane. The sights are absolutely incredible and the buildings are in perfect shape. Prague is home to many historic buildings/monuments including the Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, and Old Town Square. Let’s take a closer look:

Charles Bridge-

* Constructed in 1357 and was known as the Prague Bridge until 1870 when it was officially renamed the “Charles Bridge”.

* The Charles Bridge crosses the Vltava River in the city of Prague.

* Did I mention this historic landmark is located about 15 feet away from our hotel? It will make for some great pictures over our stay.

Prague Castle-

* The Prague Castle is the “largest ancient castle in the world” according to the Guinness Book of Records.

* Emperors, Kings, and Presidents have there offices located inside the castle.

* The Prague Castle dominates the sky line in the city of Prague and is a popular tourist attraction.

Old Town Square-

* Very popular tourist attraction during the summer time.

* Home to many churches, monuments, and local pubs.

* The Astronomical Clock is located within Old Town Square and tourists gather here at the top of the hour to watch “12 apostles parade by, the rooster crows, and the clock is rung”.

In closing, Prague is an awesome city and is full of historical landmarks. Tourists come from all over the world to see this great city and its many attractions. The city is colorful and full of attractions. If you have the opportunity to visit Prague, please do so…..you will not regret it!
